The Wave Catcher

The Wave Catcher is a slack-moored floating wave power converter intended for the exploitation of the ocean wave power in very harsh operational conditions. This innovative technology represents a simple but highly efficient and cost-effective renewable and sustainable energy solution. The investment costs are lower comparing to all known wave converting technologies and the installation and maintenance are very easy. Moreover, as a wave breaker, it can protect coasts against wave erosion and further contribute to development of coastal regions.

The Wave Catcher fulfill all requirements formulated for wave power converters of second and third generation. It can be considered as a major step forward in the development of wave power harnessing in a global scale for the 21st century.
